BoJ's Kuroda: BoJ shouldn't have exactly the same view as the government
The Bank of Japan (BoJ) Governor Haruhiko Kuroda was out with some comments in the last hour saying that the Government and central bank economic forecasts are based on different assumptions.
- Generally, the BoJ CPI view ends up being higher than the government.
- Believe that the BoJ shouldn't have exactly the same view as the government.
Commenting on the monetary policy, Kuroda further added:
- Don't think another comprehensive review of monetary policy is needed after the BoJ conducted in 2016.
- Not considering carrying out IMF's proposals such as re-defining 2% inflation target at the moment.
