UK budget: Growth forecasts revised down to 1.5% for 2017 - ANZ
UK budget had growth forecasts revised down to 1.5% for 2017, 1.4% in 2018 and 1.3% in 2019, notes the research team at ANZ.
“This means higher deficits in 2019 and beyond, but below a self-imposed target of 2%. There were new measures to improve housing affordability. This included abolishing tax on home purchases for first-time buyers and building more affordable homes. There was also new spending on health services and smoother access to welfare benefits.”
