Asian equities disappoint as Nikkei again plummets

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Last weeks uneven performance across Asian stock markets has continued Monday, led by volatility in the Nikkei, which again turned sharply south on rumors of the BoJ. With Chinese data permeating the markets earlier, many equities found themselves in a state of flux Monday.

Beginning with the indices and composites, the Shanghai fell -0.06% as it settles in region of 2299.35, down -1.34 points in these moments. In addition, the Nikkei 225 is again trading in negative territory, operating at 13261.82, following a staunch decline of -512.72 points or -3.72% at the time of writing. Finally, the Hang Seng Index has edged marginally lower today, trading in the zone of 22393.49, presently -0.01% after a movement of -0.98 points.

Moving to commodities the prices of gold and silver are trading at USD $1394.70 and $22.38 per oz. respectively. Moreover, the price of crude sunk to USD $91.90/bbl Monday.
