USD/CHF excited by the BOJ decision – refreshed 3-week high

FXStreet (Moscow) - USD/CHF opened at 0.9558, posted 3-week high at 0.9621, before retreating to 0.96 area.

The pair rise was fueled by the recent BOJ decision that reminded the markets on the SNB and the ECB easy stance. Now, the divergence between rate expectations of the European central banks and the Fed is much wider, and this factor may keep the Swissy under pressure during the nearest weeks, or months. The next target to the upside may be located at 0.9640 area.

Today's central pivot point can be found at 0.9571 with support below at 0.9530, 0.9502 and 0.9461, with resistance above at 0.9640 and 0.9668. Hourly Moving Averages are bullish, with the 200SMA at 0.9511 and the daily 20EMA bullish at 0.9499. Hourly RSI is bullish at 69.

Comex Copper recovers losses, may post monthly gain

Copper, on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, strengthened during the European session after recovering from the early slump. The metal has managed to inch higher despite a sharp rise in the US Dollar index.
