DJIA futures at one and a half month low

FXStreet (Mumbai) - US Equity futures have declined, taking cues from the European equities, which have taken a beating today.

The DJIA December futures are trading 0.48% lower at 16531.50, a level not seen since 13th August, 2014. Meanwhile, the S&P futures are trading 0.47% lower at 1915.95. The index futures are on their way to test 1900 levels, below which prices can fall sharply to 1850 levels.

Equity markets across the globe have tanked today, erasing the gains witnessed post the release of the dovish Federal Reserve (Fed) Minutes on Wednesday. Moreover, the concerns of a slowdown in the global economy is hurting equity markets.

DJIA Technical levels

The DJIA has an immediate resistance of 16,600 levels, while the support is located at 16,470 (Aug 12th low). The Daily and the Intraday indicators have turned bearish and point to a further sell-off in the index.
