Flash: CAD & AUD the worst performing of major currencies last week - BBH
FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Brown Brothers Harriman analysts note that the Canadian and Australian dollars were the worst performing of the major currencies over the past week, losing 0.4% and 0.8% respectively.
They see that since around the middle of the month, the US dollar has gained almost 4% against the Canadian dollar and nearly 7% against the Australian dollar. They write, “The technical indicators we look at still have scope for additional near-term losses for both currencies. We note the Australian dollar is approaching the lower end of a two-year-old range against the Canadian dollar, near CAD0.9900.”
