NZ electronic card retail sales keep easing

FXStreet (Bali) - New Zealand's electronic card retail sales (MoM) fell from previous 0.5% to -0.1% in September, with the YoY climbing from previous 4.1% to 5.4% in September.

From Statistics NZ:

Consumables, down $6.3 million (0.4 percent), fuel, down $6.1 million (0.8 percent), durables, up $2.8 million (0.3 percent).

Core retail spending (which excludes the vehicle-related industries) fell 0.4 percent in September 2014.

Trends for the total, retail, and core retail series have all generally been rising since these series began in October 2002, but appear to be easing in recent months.
