Nikkei back to the 14k level, down -3% for the day
The Nikkei index has resumed the selling started past Thursday, down -3.11% today alone, adding for a -11% since almost touching the 16000 points mark last Thursday in early Tokyo trade, before Japanese officials started talking up the Yen. The index has printed session lows around the 14040 level, from a close Friday around the 14600 points mark.
Australian ASX index is also down -0.49% for the session, while Korean Kospi is up +0.33%, Shanghai Composite index +0.16%, and Hong-Kong's Hang-Seng is about flat, after opening lower. US futures gaped to the upside at the open, for then going into the negative marginally, and last slightly in the positive.
