AUD/USD waiting for NFP at 0.8789, off Asian lows

FXStreet (Moscow) - AUD/USD is sitting in a range after having slid below 0.8800 pivot; the pair is currently trading at 0.8789, off the Asian low at 0.8774

Aussie bears have had enough

AUD/USD spend Thursday marginally below 0.8700 pivot, after having touched the fresh weekly high at 0.8815. The pair recovered from losses incurred earlier this week and moved into the positive territory, which means that the bearish momentum is fading away and Aussie might start consolidation phase. Obviously, USD sentiments have been the major driver behind the currency movements lately, thus lots will depend on today’s Non Farm Payroll report an on how USD react to the data. From the technical point of view keep an eye at 0.8755 support as it may limit the downside. Once it is broken, Aussie might slump towards 0.8700. The upside is likely to be limited by 0.8800/15

What are today’s key AUD/USD levels?

Today's central pivot point can be found at 0.8785, with support below at 0.8741, 0.8679 and 0.8635 with resistance above at 0.8847, 0.8891 and 0.8953. Hourly Moving Averages are mixed, with the 200SMA flat at 0.8789 and the daily 20EMA bearish at 0.8935. Hourly RSI is bullish at 53.
