US stocks slide, USD mixed
FXStreet (Córdoba) - Equities in the US were posting small losses, in Europe stocks finished in negative territory. The FTSE 100 lost 0.44%, the Dax declined 0.09% and the Cac 40 lost 0.22%. In Wall Street, the Dow Jones was falling 0.19% and the Nasdaq was down 0.25%, both indexes off lows.
In the currency market, Greenback was mixed, falling against it European rivals and rising versus commodity currencies. Gold broke below $1,240/oz reaching multi-month lows while crude oil was recovering ground, up 0.75% trading at $92.40.
Economic data from the US, showed that initial jobless claims rose 11,000 to 315,000 last week, reaching the highest level since June; analyst were expecting a decline toward 300,000.
